About Us
Our Mission
Lotus Mental Health Foundation is dedicated to increasing access to mental health care for survivors of trauma. We provide scholarships on an as-needed basis, ensuring that uninsured and underinsured individuals can access individual and group therapy services that support healing and resilience.
Our Story
Dr. Justina & Chad Floyd are the co-founders of Lotus Mental Health Foundation 501(c)(3). Justina is a clinical mental health therapist and supervisor in North Carolina as well as a professor and trauma researcher. The past several years have shown us a lot about the health care system and insurance; specifically about the mental health care system and how broken it truly is. We have decided to take action to help those who are uninsured, underinsured and unable to access mental health care due to financial barriers. We look forward to growing our new venture together! Thank you for being here with us and the team as we grow.
